Salah satu Penyebab Printer sharing unable to connect/opening status, di sebabkan Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) dalam posisi disable/not running

Mengatasi problem Windows Firewall
Due to an unidentified problem, Windows cannot display Windows Firewall settings. Itulah sebuah kalimat Yang muncul sebelumnya saat akan membuka fitur Windows Firewall di OS windows xp2 saya. akhirnya saya coba tanyakan permasalah ini dengan bantuan paman google.


Setelah di telusuri sebenarnya pihak microsoft sendiri sudah memberikan jawaban untuk permasalan ini. dan berikut ini kutipan dari situs microsoft untuk jawaban mengenai service windows firewall yg tidak bisa dibuka.

Gejala:
  • Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) is not displayed in the Services list in Control Panel.
  • Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) is displayed in the Services list, but you cannot start this service.
  • anda menerima pesan galat "Due to an unidentified problem, Windows cannot display Windows Firewall settings." ketika anda mencoba mengakses setting windows firewall

Permasalahan:
Masalah ini disebabkan oleh SharedAccess.reg hilang atau file rusak. sebuah File yang mewakili SharedAccess.reg layanan Windows Firewall .
Penyelesaian:
Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, gunakan salah satu metode berikut

Metode 1: Panggil "Setup API InstallHinfSection" fungsi untuk menginstal Windows Firewall
Untuk menginstal windows firewall ikuti langkah-langkah ini
  • klik start, klik run, ketik cmd, kemudian klik ok
  • pada prompt perintah, ketik baris berikut Rundll32 setupapi,InstallHinfSection Ndi-Steelhead 132 %windir%\inf\netrass.inf kemudian tekan ENTER
  • Restart Windows,
  • klik start, klik run, ketik cmd, kemudian klik ok
  • pada prompt perintah, ketik baris berikut Netsh firewall reset kemudian tekan ENTER.
klik start, klik run, ketik firewall.cpl dan kemudian tekan ENTER. Dalam kotak dialog Windows Firewall, klik On (disarankan), dan kemudian klik OK.


Metode 2:
Karena untuk metode ke 2 ini sedikit bermain dengan regsitry, jadi saya sarankan anda untuk memabaca lebih detail pada situs microsoft itu sendiri klik disini untuk mulai membaca.

  1. Double-click Sharedaccess.reg to merge the contents of this file into the registry and to create the Windows Firewall entry.
  2. Restart Windows.
  3. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
  4. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
Netsh firewall reset
  1. Click Start, click Run, type firewall.cpl, and then click OK.
  2. Configure the Windows Firewall settings that you want to use.

informasi tambahan:
Untuk memverifikasi bahwa Layanan Windows Firewall telah berjalan, ikuti langkah berikut
  • klik start, klik run, ketik services.msc , kemudian klik ok
  • Dalam daftar layanan, cari Windows Firewall / Internet Connection Sharing (ICS). Perhatikan bahwa status layanan Started tandanya windows firewall sudah aktif
METODE II :
Metode ini ada dengan menggunakan atau memodify registry yaitu dengan cara seperti dibawah ini :
  1. Copy text pada link ini menggunakan Notepad, dan simpan dengan nama file Shareaccess.reg
  2. Kilik ganda pada Shareaccess.reg, untuk menggabungkan isi file ini ke dalam registri yang berfungsi membuat entri Windows Firewall
  3. Restart Windows
  4. Klik Start > Run, ketik cmd, OK.
  5. Pada command prompt, ketik perintah dibawah ini dan akhiri ENTER:
Netsh firewall reset
  1. Klik Start > Run, ketik firewall.cpl dan tekan ENTER
  2. Selesai.
